We have a breakthrough technology reducing friction in internal combustion engines
How it works?
Our ionic material is added into the engine oil (or other lubricant) and it creates ionic repulsion force between grinding surfaces and in this way we reduce engine friction by 30% which translate to 5% fuel consumption. One cargo ship can save $500,000/year by using our green ionic product. Applications include automobiles & light trucks to heavy trucks, trains, ships, windmills, etc. Moreover, we envision saving 400 million tons per year of CO2 emissions.
What is the value?
Our green technology is added into the motor and industrial lubricants. Once added, it creates strong tribofilm on the metal surface and directly reduces friction between moving parts. Unlike traditional friction reducers, our additive consists of ionic molecules and these charged molecules create a repulsion force to keep sliding surfaces apart from each other. In this way, our technology improves efficiency and reduces wear. By reducing friction and wear, we help companies to achieve 5% fuel saving and maintenance cost of their assets. We mainly used fatty acids and polyols which can be derived from biomass. Combination with environmentally acceptable lubricants, our additive shows better results compared to molybdenum and other type of friction modifiers. As the thermal stability of additive is higher, it shows still good performance at elevated temperatures. Mini traction machine, Anton Paar machine, four ball and bench tests with real engines have been completed and results were compared with competitors. MTM and Anton Paar test results show sudden friction reduction at starting point and friction is getting lower when temperature and speed is increasing. Four ball test shows that scar diameter is 0.41mm at 75 C temperature, 1200rpm and 60 minutes which is good result with PAO base oil. Torque friction tests have been done in two different engines. In the first engine(heavy duty) we get 4% gain in torque, but in second engine(light duty) we get 7% gain in torque. This shows real effect of our additive in fuel consumption. Additional tests have been done with environmentally friendly lubricants and friction co-efficiency is much lower than that of molybdenum friction modifier.

We want to create more space for people without harming the planet. We will measure our progress in the number of people we create space for. Not that we want more population on the planet, but if we can prevent emissions of 1 million or 10 million people that is a huge accomplishment for us. Along the way we will put many millions of dollars into truckers and other workers’ pockets, improving quality of life.
